In recent years, the number of stray animals has continued to rise, facing challenges such as food shortages, harsh environments, and disease transmission. These issues not only affect the well-being of the animals but also impact ecological balance and public safety. This study aims to leverage technology and innovative thinking to raise social awareness of stray animal issues and propose feasible solutions to improve their living conditions. Through collective efforts from various sectors of society, we hope to reduce the stray animal population, increase shelter and adoption rates, and deepen public understanding of this issue. Our long-term goal is to establish a comprehensive animal protection system, ensuring that every animal receives the care and respect it deserves.
The issue of stray animals is a global social concern. They face challenges such as food shortages, disease transmission, and harsh living conditions, while also impacting the ecosystem and public safety. According to statistics from Taiwan’s animal protection agencies, the number of stray dogs in Taiwan once reached 300,000. Thanks to efforts from the government and private organizations, this number has decreased to around 100,000–120,000 in recent years. However, a large number of stray animals still lack proper care. This study aims to leverage technology and social participation to raise awareness of the stray animal issue and propose feasible solutions to improve their living conditions.
